Ever dare to skydive or go bungy jumping? Yeah, I think that’s pretty standard extreme stuff anyone would try. But what about cliff diving? Well, that’s a whole other level. Like, you must be craaaazzzy level. I know a belly flop hurts like no other. So I can’t imagine landing into the water at the wrong angle AT THAT HEIGHT.
Here’s a promo film for the European Cliff Diving Championships in southern Switzerland. Found it on one of our favorite video sites, VIMEO. Just take a couple minutes to relax and watch this video. Enjoy.
Hayward born, Eduardo and Jose Quiroz are at it again. The two brothers are back writing / directing in another adventure tale, I Got Five on it Too. The film is shot all in the bay and is a sequel to their 2004 success, I Got Five on it; both films star Todd Bridges of Diff’rent Strokes fame as the man of reason who knows what u talkin bout willis. Jose Rosete also stars as Oscar the storyteller and Chris Angelo steals many a scene with his umbrella toting, street hustling, Barney Bumble. Complete with bay area locations and throwback jerseys, this is definitely one movie that will have you reminiscing about the yay in no time.
We know when Comic-con time comes around, the geeky side starts leaking out of our pores. Even with the bad economy, tickets were sold out for the past five months. CRAZY RIGHT! We didn’t get a chance to go this year (with our Zelda costumes) but a main reason why people go now is the amount of celebs that show up. They are there usually promoting a movie (Twilight) or just geeking out like the rest. Since there’s so many successful adaptations of comic books to movies, the crowds have grown in numbers over the years in search of the next blockbuster franchise. Read more...

Ooooohhh mannnn! This trailer of TRON LEGACY is ridiculously amazing!!! Best of all, its coming out in 3D. WHAT!!! We know we’re climaxing prematurely but unfortunately it doesn’t come out in theaters until 2010. But all you TRON fans who grew up in that era will enjoy this trailer. 3D!!! Also production stills from COMIC-CON.
This baseball player was one of our favorites growing up. Being the Bay Area group we are, we’d always hear the sports column of what Ricky did that night. Few stolen bases, lead off home run, or some crazy flip of the bat showing off. Ricky had just a crazy batting stance. If you ever try it, you could almost fall over hitting the ball. Even during the World Series Battle of the Bay, he was a scary dude to play against (majority of us as Giants fans). Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice going into Cooperstown Hall of Fame this year and that’s just a great accomplishment. Congrats. Read more...

We’ve been hearing since the beginning of this year that this movie, NINJA ASSASSIN, was coming out soon. Supposedly, it failed the expectations of the studio execs to be released in theaters (maybe because of Speedracer) but luckily its now slated to come out November 24th. We can’t actually say whether or not it’ll be good, but seeing all these behind the scenes videos on set of the movie and just having a majority of Asian American talent as the cast, we’re still looking forward to seeing it. The poster is badass! The youtube videos are pretty sick! The trailer, well, its doing its job by wanting me to see more.
In the highly anticipated heavyweight rematch, Brock Lesnar seeks revenge vs Frank Mir on Saturday in UFC 100. It’s a classic battle of Mir’s experience and technique vs Lesnar’s strength and size; as well as a measure of how far Lesnar has come since his first round submission defeat to Lesnar at UFC 81. The other headlining bout on the card is the welterweight match up of George St. Pierre defending his belt vs Thiago Alves for division superiority.
” I believe his win over me was pure luck. He was getting his ass beat” -Lesnar
“The one thing I’ve always said is that technique outweights power,” Mir said. “But you need a lot of technique… Wherever the fight goes, I’m ready” Read more...
