BAY TO BREAKERS CHANGES RULES
This years Bay to Breakers might be a little different than others. Actually its expected to be completely different. Why? An article from SF GATE just came out stating that this years race has banned BEER and NUDITY for all people on the route. I mean WOW, just take away part of the identity of the Bay to Breakers. The article states that police will cite you for having anything alcoholic, pulling anything with alcohol, or if you appear drunk. As for the nudity, it says police won’t cite you but it won’t be allowed.
What is with this new regulation? Why now? Why the Bay to Breakers? San Francisco has always been known for its liberal and open spirit to do whatever you feel like doing. Knowing Frisco peeps, they’ll try to get away with whatever they can. The creativity will still be shown. The atmosphere will def be in full effect. And most likely, the booze will still be pouring, but just concealed much better. If you never been to a Bay to Breakers in your life, well then you are missing out. Its Halloween meets Carnival meets Happy Hour meets nudist colony…times a million…in one of the greatest cities in the world. The news of these new regulations might stop people from traveling to SF to attend now but honestly, in the spirit of the Bay to Breakers, don’t let it stop you. If you do end up going, take lots of pictures and make sure you do a keg stand for us…ok two.
