Ever dare to skydive or go bungy jumping? Yeah, I think that’s pretty standard extreme stuff anyone would try. But what about cliff diving? Well, that’s a whole other level. Like, you must be craaaazzzy level. I know a belly flop hurts like no other. So I can’t imagine landing into the water at the wrong angle AT THAT HEIGHT.

MARVEL ANIME TEASERS

We know when Comic-con time comes around, the geeky side starts leaking out of our pores. Even with the bad economy, tickets were sold out for the past five months. CRAZY RIGHT! We didn’t get a chance to go this year (with our Zelda costumes) but a main reason why people go now is the amount of celebs that show up. They are there usually promoting a movie (Twilight) or just geeking out like the rest. Since there’s so many successful adaptations of comic books to movies, the crowds have grown in numbers over the years in search of the next blockbuster franchise.

Here’s a few teaser trailers that came out for Marvel Entertainment and Madhouse’s anime-style adaptation of Iron and Wolverine. Luckily they are smart enough to make these the right way, Sony Pictures in JAPAN! GEEK ON!

Ooooohhh mannnn! This trailer of TRON LEGACY is ridiculously amazing!!! Best of all, its coming out in 3D. WHAT!!! We know we’re climaxing prematurely but unfortunately it doesn’t come out in theaters until 2010. But all you TRON fans who grew up in that era will enjoy this trailer. 3D!!! RICKEY HENDERSON

This baseball player was one of our favorites growing up. Being the Bay Area group we are, we’d always hear the sports column of what Ricky did that night. Few stolen bases, lead off home run, or some crazy flip of the bat showing off. Ricky had just a crazy batting stance. If you ever try it, you could almost fall over hitting the ball. Even during the World Series Battle of the Bay, he was a scary dude to play against (majority of us as Giants fans). Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice going into Cooperstown Hall of Fame this year and that’s just a great accomplishment. Congrats.

Now when’s Will the Thrill or Kevin Batman Mitchell gettin in, huh? FYI, Happy Birthday Barry Bonds. Here’s a ball Kevin Mitchell gave us. (Thanks Kel)

NINJA ASSASSIN TRAILER

We’ve been hearing since the beginning of this year that this movie, NINJA ASSASSIN, was coming out soon. Supposedly, it failed the expectations of the studio execs to be released in theaters (maybe because of Speedracer) but luckily its now slated to come out November 24th. We can’t actually say whether or not it’ll be good, but seeing all these behind the scenes videos on set of the movie and just having a majority of Asian American talent as the cast, we’re still looking forward to seeing it. The poster is badass! The youtube videos are pretty sick! The trailer, well, its doing its job by wanting me to see more.

THE HURT LOCKER

Are you planning on watching the new blockbuster movie TRANSFORMERS this weekend? Help and be apart of the multi-millions of dollars that will be earned this weekend? Been hearing the movie is wack-arnold and overated yet you still feel like you need to see it to believe it? Well I might have an alternative for you if you’re in Los Angeles or New York. I mean you could go watch TRANSFORMERS and come out ripped off, or maybe even full of joy. But the trailer for this movie, THE HURT LOCKER, looks bada$$.

I know most of us are tired of war movies and Talibans tallying my bananas, but this new movie THE HURT LOCKER just comes off with a different vibe. Gritty, violent, maybe even piss in my pants action pack but surely entertaining. Something perfect for the summer time flick we all need. Check out the trailer and see for yourself. You can watch Optimus and a bunch of humans talking too much. Or maybe something a little more in your face, WATCH OUT NOW, type movie. But if you just wanna watch Megan Fox for 25 minutes, well…I can’t blame you.

WE’RE BACK!!!

Hey Arowana Fam. We’re finally back from Asia. So sorry that we’ve been m.i.a. but we’ve been on an Asia Tour 2009 filming a documentary with Pastor Jaeson Ma. The documentary is entitled “1040″ which describes the last mission field where Christianity hasn’t entered. But let us be the first to tell you, that is DEF not the case. You will be amazed at what we discovered and filmed. Anyways, we wish we could talk more about the project but stay tune for pictures, blogs, and stories of all our adventures. We promise.

So a LOT has happened since the last entry. Off the top of my head Ima do a quick rundown. Let’s see. A whole bunch of movies came out. Terminator Salvation aka T4 or 5 aka Batman yelling at the crew. But Star Trek got our two thumbs WAY up…JJ, you the man. La Lakers won the championships. Hmm Did they have the easiest playoff schedule? Is Kobe liked again now or is he still the selfish guy? Regardless, much congrats! You deserve it Adam Morrison. North Korea made the news over and over. Seriously, lets please get our American girls out Obama. And lets not scare everyone in Hawaii about what we don’t know. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you will when July 4th gets closer. Can’t forget about all those bankruptcies to corporations. There’s been so many, I can’t even count. Someone should do a doc on the factory worker in China who gets to drive the company Hummer for the week. And lastly, we crowned our Fast and Furious poster contest winner. GREAT JOB CASEY!!! Thanks for always being such a faithful reader. Stay tune for our next contest. And it feels great to be back!!!

The bad news is these devices aren’t cheap (Intel’s X25-M is still over $400) and installing potentially voids your netbook warranty, but these drives are fast and and easy to install. FidoHub has introduced this exciting product to the market, a 10.2″ Lenovo Screen Mod, that when installed, can be fully a functioning and completely Solderless touch Screen Kit. Again, you’re putting the Lenovo warranty at sure risk and ordering a retrofit kit on ebay from overseas, but the end product is pretty cool. The guys over at Brain Dump have taken the leap and finished the S10 mod themselves.
