Did you guys see this? If you haven’t, here’s a video we found of this kid from China smoking a cigarette. Seriously! He’s only 2 years old. WTF!!! And my Dad sent this link to me actually, of all people. That’s two shockers right there. One, of the kid, and two of my Dad using a computer.
I know this video def puts a bad rep on Asians or Chinese or whatever you want to classify this video but dude, this kid is gonna grow up to be a gangsta. Prob run one of the triads or something. OR be a perfect cigarette spokesman for a commercial.
Today starts the INTERNATIONAL SECRET AGENTS TICKET TOUR IN THE BAY AREA. The last concert in Los Angeles was crazy off the hook which gathered community kids by the hundreds, if not close to thousands, to celebrate and party with badass Asian American artists. MTV got nothing on this concert. Check out the line up!!!
THE FAR EAST MOVEMENT AND WONG FU PRODUCTIONS will be speaking at schools and a few other locations around the San Francisco area on March 2nd-4th to promote and SELL TICKETS for the International Secret Agents Concert in SF.
*Tickets are selling fast, and might be sold out after this ticket tour!

INTERNATIONAL SECRET AGENTS TICKET TOUR IN THE BAY AREA
Tonight we will be premiering our latest webisode project MAN FROM NORTH KOREA at the Visual Communications event, Monday Nite @ VC. We are very excited to share our work and see what the response will be. This project has been a test of our true indy, gritty, guerrilla style production. With the labor of love, passion and also our actor/friends willing to come together to help us, we are hoping for a great night. Of course everyday we go at this, we feel we are still growing and learning as filmmakers. But we can’t learn anything without putting stuff out and getting honest responses.
Last Friday was Conan O’ Brien’s last show on the Late Late Night. He moves to Jay Leno’s position on the Tonight Show, huge news in the late night community. We always remember watching Conan’s crazy antics and funky fresh air. It was even a sad moment when Andy left the show. It should be interesting having Conan move from New York to Los Angeles. Many critics say that since the 11:30pm slot is a huge move, its time for Conan to “grow up”. Honestly, we hope he doesn’t!
Here are some highlights of the last 16 years of the Late Late Night with Conan O’Brien
And here is Conan’s favorite moment!
Times like these where the economy is hurting more than A-Roid’s Hall of Fame ballot, every penny counts…literally. LA Times has a blog announcing the new look of the PENNY to celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday anniversary.
The penny with Abe on it came out in 1909 to celebrate his 100th bday and now its time for his 200th. Interesting though, with the price of zinc and copper going up, each cent made actually cost 1.4 cents to make. Isn’t that kinda on the retarded side to spend more money than what it’ll be worth especially at a crucial time like this. Anyways, most people probably don’t give a damn about pennies loose in their pockets but maybe with these cool new looks (like how the nickel is), it’ll be fun to have. Ever wonder if banks clean money like in a washing machine. Maybe old pennies wouldn’t look so black.
This Saturday in LA there’s this dope concert you shouldn’t miss out on. The 9th Annual Kollaboration at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Kollaboration has been showcasing many up and coming artists in the Asian Pacific Islander (API) American community (gotta be PC). If you have never heard of Kollaboration, you should definitely take a peek. Performs like songwriter Jane Lui, hip hop violinist Paul Dateh, songwriter David Choi, four-sista pop group Jazmin, and my new fav songwriter Kina Grannis will be performing. Along with special guest performances by Kaba Modern and Fanny Pak. You go API! And also International Superstar BOA. We’ve never heard of you, but you must be badass with a name like that.
So a bunch of readers have been asking us what that count down timer is for on the right side of Arowana Life home page. Well Visual Communication, the non profit organization who puts on the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival every year in LA, has asked us Arowana Films, to speak at their upcoming Monday Night filmmakers round table February 23rd. Of course we couldn’t refuse… as long as there is free food.
From what we were told by the moderator Walt Louie, a great friend to us, he will be conducting the panel discussing about indy film making, surviving in the industry, and just shooting the shit, sort of speak. Everyone is invited to join us. I don’t think there’s any entrance fee. Just open minds and please, laugh at all our jokes. Jk. Well not really. But it should be an interesting event.
We really don’t have to say much here but if you stayed around after the NBA Rookie/Sophmore Game on TNT tonight, you would have stumbled upon a golden treasure chest aka Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2009 shoot. Here are a few that “popped” out. ENJOY!!!
Jarah Mariano – American model of Hawaiian, Korean, and Chinese decent
Jessica Gomes – Australian model of Singaporean Chinese and Portuguese decent
And SI COVER GIRL Bar Refaeli – Israeli model

This years Bay to Breakers might be a little different than others. Actually its expected to be completely different. Why? An article from SF GATE just came out stating that this years race has banned BEER and NUDITY for all people on the route. I mean WOW, just take away part of the identity of the Bay to Breakers. The article states that police will cite you for having anything alcoholic, pulling anything with alcohol, or if you appear drunk. As for the nudity, it says police won’t cite you but it won’t be allowed.
