Wow! We hit a milestone. We are truly blessed and fortunate to have reached this point in our youtube career. THANK YOU viewers! When we shot FM’s Round Round music video on the eve of Fast And Furious 3 two years ago, we had no idea what we were doing or where we were going, but we did know that we were having a lot of fun. And before I go on, we couldn’t have done this without the help of several several individuals that really just gave it their all. Filmmaking is true collaboration and on the level that we shoot things, this is a crucial necessity. So, for any of you that have ever helped us, a big “thanks homie” goes out to you! Anyways, I’ll try to recount some of the great moments of the day. Read more...

Here’s another installment of Arowana Friday, where every Friday we feature either a brand new or an old video we’ve done in the past and give it the back story just for you guys. Today we want to feature “Local Politician” made in 2008 during the CRAZY election times.
The San Diego Asian American Film Festival was having a video contest “Reel in the Vote” to see if someone could make a 30 second PSA to help encourage Asian Americans to vote. Of course, every election there was always an issue of Asian Americans never having a voice because we never bothered to vote. (we, as in the younger generation) With Obama and Hillary running for Democratic Election and then the Presidency, there was an obvious need for us Asian Americans to REPRESENT! So we decided to send a message to HIT very hard to that target audience, young Asian Americans who just don’t give a f@%$! And so this video was then created by that inspiration. Read more...

In this week’s installment of Arowana Friday we’ll be checking out a piece that was shot a few years ago as the intro for the indy movie, “Finishing the Game“. “Finishing the Game” is a mockumentary directed by Justin Lin where it explores the time when Bruce Lee unexpectedly past away leaving his passion project “The Game of Death” unfinished. There was heard to be about 15 minutes of footage that Bruce Lee did shoot with the fighting scenes going up the pagoda and fighting villains like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in his famous yellow jump suit. When “Enter the Dragon” was a worldwide hit in the box office, studios knew they had to cash in on Bruce’s unfinished project, “The Game of Death” (damn money grubbin studios)… So “Finishing the Game” is a mockumentary about the casting call to see who would fill the shoes of Bruce Lee for “The Game of Death”. Make sense… Read more...

Arowana Friday! This music video was done by our camp a couple years ago. The artist, Estairy, is a long time childhood friend. We wanted to create a reality that combined both urban structures with elements of the natural world. The decision to use old footage from the movie, Koyaanisqatsi by Godfrey Reggio, was made because of two basic reasons. One to incorporate a beautiful background space for the tone of this project. And the other was to make a general statement about Hip Hop. Hip Hop’s roots were founded in the sampling of old music and remixing them so that they make for a modern tone and perspective. This music video was done in that same theory-to sample old footage and remix it. We wanted to incorporate a different perspective and re-introduce this amazing work to a new audience. The video starts off in the urban environment that we know so well and then travels to the environment that many of us don’t know so well-nature. Read more...

I found this video off my boy, Mousa Kraish youtube site. He played Raja in Finishing the Game, for you FTG fans out there. Anyways, it was a video he did years back. I’m assuming the back story to the video was that his vision was inspired by this song track, Sigur Ros “Untitled 3″. I was truly moved when I saw this. Just take a moment from your busy life or stressful day and enjoy the journey.

Results are in, results are in. Well, they’ve been in for a while but I just got home to witness the unraveling of our prize. So, remember that Louisiana Hot Sauce video contest we entered in December. Well here are the results. We got 10TH PLACE! I dunno if that’s necessarily good but we did win a prize. A year supply of hot sauce BOYEEEE!!!! hahaha. Well, I think seeing the 1st place winner might have given a clue to who the target audience was.
We truly want to thank everyone who supported us and helped us spread the word. I hope we will have more projects to share with you soon…very soon. In the mean time, who wants some LOUISIANA HOT SAUCE?
