7. Firewire Port Accessory

“Installing the ExpressCard today ensures that all your existing and future high bandwidth devices will operate at their optimum performance, without processing bottlenecks”
A lot of Netbook users will notice right away that there are no available firewire ports available in todays models for photography, video, and additional hard drive needs. Lenovo has introduced the first netbook in the United States with a Express Card slot for its S10. Most likely, this will become a universal staple for future netbooks, but for now it’s important to note the size of your slot, 34 mm or 54mm. These cards are very handy and for under $70, one could be all yours. Read more...

Toys or Tools
Sometimes, you can’t help but feel proud of the netbook investment you made over the holidays. Its functional, sturdy, and can fit in a glove compartment. They come stock with built-in webcams, 8′-11′ in screens, and sub $500 price tags… but ultimately, they are low end machines in terms of computing power. However, if you can get past that, here’s the great news: They’re some of the most upgradable, portable machines we have ever seen. Here is a list of 10 accessories that will make your new netbook even more powerful. (for viewer purposes, the list was accounted for with the Lenovo S10 in mind)

Hows that war thing doing? Whens this recession going to end? Hows Hillary doing as Dept of State? I found myself wondering this as I was surfing the white house website for the first time. But I found something much more important. March Madness has arrived and President Barack Obama himself has added an interesting twist this year. The White House has shared his picks with us all on the official white house blog. Our Chief of State has chosen the strong Roy Williams’ Tar Heels of North Carolina to win the tournament this year, in consensus with 60% of America in ESPN’s National Bracket. Interesting. Our entry here sees an upset by the fiery Rick Pitino led Cardinals of Louisville. Its shaping up to be an exciting tournament, early results show our Arowana in the top 97% percentile while Obama is cruising in at a respectable 53%. No matter the outcome, we predict a victory for America (and maybe a cabinet position in our future?). Read more...

Journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling
Two journalists from the emmy award winning Current TV were detained Tuesday by North Korean soldiers after they ignored their orders to stop filming. Laura Ling and Euna Lee are reporters for the San Francisco based media outlet and were planning a border trip to report on North Korean refugees. The Yalu river they were headed towards is a ‘frequent crossing point for both trade and the growing number of North Koreans seeking to flee their country’ as reported by Kwang-Tae Kim. Ling’s sister, Lisa Ling, was a cohost on the View and currently does field reports for Oprah. The last correspondence from Ling was a Twitter message stated that she was at the Seoul airport headed to the China/NKorea border and, ‘Hoping my Kimchee breath will ward off all danger.’ A third member of their team, the cameraman, was said to have escaped arrest at the last moment. Kenny Powers is an ex-jock with anger management issues. He’s putting his past behind him and entering his own ‘rehab’. He’s home again teaching gym at his old North Carolina middle school; unwinds with his animal print covered jet ski called the ‘Panty-Dropper’ and is focused on a comeback. The cards are stacked against his return to the Major Leagues but something tells us not to bet against that redneck charm of his. Read more...

Have you ever been in a public place and let one loose? How about laughing too hard and one slips out? Or our favorite, think its gonna be a quiet airy one and it was actually 3.0 on the Richter scale? Farting is probably one of the grossest things to do or hear (esp for girls) but it can also be one of the funniest events to witness too. Its quite natural and EVERYONE does it. We know old people seriously don’t mind farting anywhere. And most of our childhood friends are the same way today. Has your boy/girlfriend farted in front of you yet? If so, I bet a thousand more came right after. Read more...

Did you guys see this? If you haven’t, here’s a video we found of this kid from China smoking a cigarette. Seriously! He’s only 2 years old. WTF!!! And my Dad sent this link to me actually, of all people. That’s two shockers right there. One, of the kid, and two of my Dad using a computer.
I know this video def puts a bad rep on Asians or Chinese or whatever you want to classify this video but dude, this kid is gonna grow up to be a gangsta. Prob run one of the triads or something. OR be a perfect cigarette spokesman for a commercial. Read more...

Tonight we will be premiering our latest webisode project MAN FROM NORTH KOREA at the Visual Communications event, Monday Nite @ VC. We are very excited to share our work and see what the response will be. This project has been a test of our true indy, gritty, guerrilla style production. With the labor of love, passion and also our actor/friends willing to come together to help us, we are hoping for a great night. Of course everyday we go at this, we feel we are still growing and learning as filmmakers. But we can’t learn anything without putting stuff out and getting honest responses. Read more...
