DAVISION
Here’s some OG stuff just for you AROWANA LIFE readers. An episode of UC Davis’s public access TV show titled DAVISION, starring Greg, Josh and Dennis. This segment is called WAKE UP KARAOKE!!!
Davision was a show created at UC Davis during sophmore year in the summer of 2002. Their first idea for the show was to welcome their apartment complex neighbors to the neighborhood by illegally sneaking in the construction site while the buildings were still being put up. They filmed each other leaving surprise gifts for the new tenants like a self portrait, money, and a condom. After filming a cool whiffle ball game in someone’s living room, using their water-less toilets, and almost driving a tracker, the show was born.

BUSH IS ALMOST DONE
If you haven’t noticed, we’ve installed this cool count down timer for when our current President George W, ruin our government, make wars, everyone hates us, and just dumb, Bush will finally finish his 8 years in office. He has def put his mark in US history, bar none. I really hope Bush doesn’t have a son of his own that we’ll have to deal with years from now. I think every American will be glad when January 20th comes around and our new President elect Obama takes over.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! First off, Merry Christmas to you and your family. Arowana Life wishes you all the joy and cheer during this time of year. Secondly, if you are actually reading this on Christmas Day, stop surfing the internet and go hang out with family and friends…after you read our entry of course. hahaha. For you religious peeps, Christmas is known for the birth of Jesus Christ, the man himself. Hence the term Christ’s Mass aka Christmas. But for those who just like more festive celebrations, this is where Santa Claus and his reindeer’s make his rounds with presents to give to all the good kids. Lights, singing, exchanging gifts, fun for all. Its more of a Western culture thang but I think more and more countries accepted this tradition too.

Isn’t that freakin awesome?!! These guys sing hiphopapella and are from the bay area too. They’ve been fortunate to have made their mark in Hollywood. Do you know how?
If you don’t remember these guys, they were the finalist for the first season reality TV show, America’s Got Talent (David Hasseloff, Sharon Ozbourne). Back then, they were called At Last and they were the talk of the town, the Asian American town, probably every town. These boys were singing for audiences of all ages and races every night in living rooms across America. It was so amazing the attention and the buzz they created. Why? Not because they were Asian and they got all their friends and family voting for them. But for the simple reason, THEY HAVE TALENT!

MANNY!!! MANNY!!! POUND FOR POUND THE GREATEST FIGHTER IN THE WORLD!!! Wow, it was just terrifying seeing Oscar De La Hoya take that beating! I know maybe some of you haven’t seen the Pacquiao and De La Hoya fight and I just spoiled it for you (even though you probably should have seen it by now, ESPECIALLY if you’re Filipino), but dude, Manny is DA MAN!!! Pound for pound the best fighter to step into the ring right now.

GAS IS CHEAP
We know we’re about a few months late talking about CHEAP GAS but seriously, WE LOVE CHEAP GAS! I mean everyone is so use to $3 or $4 a gallon. I’ve grown use to paying top dollars for a full tank a gas. Put in the credit card, max it out at 50 bucks and put in the credit card again to finish the tank. Almost like paying for a plane ticket to the Bay Area or something. But now, after the whole economy going to SHIEEEET, the price of oil per barrel has gone down…WAY DOWN. AND where in the city would you find the cheapest gas around town. That’s right, the GHETTO aka the Chevron down the street from our house. $2.09 baby!!! Maybe I’ll go faster than the optimal 55 mph I usual drive to save gas.

We haven’t had a chance to work with Wong Fu personally but I hear they are cool ass cats. They do great work and nothing stops them from getting to their goals. HAPPY VETERANS DAY
Happy Veterans Day cyberworld. Its a day where we get to celebrate all the animal doctors in America. Such a fine glorious day… just kidding. Totally kidding. Its America’s one (but not only) day to say thanks to the men and women who have served or is serving now in our fine military but you probably already knew that. Unfortunately, I don’t think the people currently in the military get a day off though. Talk about a crappy job. Well, maybe today is more of a reflection of how lucky we have it that most of us didn’t have to serve. Did you know that less than 1% of our nation’s population has taken an oath at some point in there lives, to support and defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic? Other countries like Korea and Israel, BAM!!!, hold this gun, don’t move, stand here for six years. Oh and say bye to your family and friends. Sucks big ah hole, right? So, good shit veterans. You deserve a day!
