Winning at all costs!!!
I dont know about you guys, but doesn’t it seem like these elections are getting a little bit out of hand. I know we’re living in a time where viral marketing is king, but that doesn’t mean that we should all stoop down just to bring up controversy. Given, some die hard supporters are going to go to extremes to show support, but it seems like the campaigns and news media themselves are driving people to go to even more extremes. Just using your good friend google and with John McCain and Barack Obama, 90% of the news results that come up simply slander the opponent. I just watched this news interview of Joe Biden by a legit network anchor.
Has the world gone mad?? Not only that, but if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find even crazier stories. I just read about a woman with a John McCain bumper sticker who claimed she was attacked by Barack Obama supporters that carved a “B” in her cheek for Barack. Later, you found out that she faked the whole attack.
All the while, people here in Cali have yet another vote to go crazy over. PROPOSITION 8. The proposition to eliminate same-sex marriages in the state of Cali. I know it’s a sensitive issue to many people, but the campaigns still seem to be going a bit overboard. There’s countless PSA’s trying to trick people that PROP 8 is about teaching 2nd graders about same sex marriage in school. Not only that, but I just saw this letter below from Prop 8 supporters:
Hmm….give us 10,000$ or you are clearly indicating that you are against us. We’re going to publish a list saying that you’re against Proposition 8 and against traditional marriages. It’s only fair for us supporters to know which business and organizations are against us. I don’t know about you guys, but I thought blackmail was illegal. I guess these votes are so important to people these days, that they’re taking the “Win at all costs!” slogan a bit too literal in my opinion.
Here’s a short little video to end it on a higher note.
And encourage everyone to GO OUT AND VOTE!!!
